If ceilings are too damaged, beyond repair, sagging too badly or have fallen down they will have to be replaced. This can be an extremely messy job especially if the roof is filled with Cool or Cosy insulation.
Whether it be accidental damage like a foot through the ceiling or some downlights being repositioned or removed.
Most commonly seen in renovations where plasterboard is used to cover up old brick walls leaving a modern look with a nice clean finish and minimal mess.
Over time, most old ceilings begin to let go and sag. Especially the old plasterglass ceilings which are held up by straps over the ceiling joists.
In most situations, this type of ceiling repair will require the water damaged section to be cut out and replaced.
